The project, which is partially completed, has been a collaboration with the BAUMAN.INTERNATIONAL GMBH in GERMANY. It is located in Mardakan, a settlement on the eastern Absheron Peninsula of Baku – Azerbaijan, bounded by the Caspian Sea to the north, Shuvalan to the east, Qala to the south, and Shagan to the west.
Facades
It has been a challenging project for a luxurious Wellness- Spa for the chairman of the International Bank of Azerbaijan. The design approach is a contemporary metaphor of the inner beauty that every person holds and is like a stone that needs some refinement before its transformation to a precious gem.
Concept
The Wellness includes seven treatment rooms, a Turkish bath and showers, an ice-grotto and a massage room, a sauna and beauty studio, a relax area and a Tea room, as well as a swimming pool with fitness studio. The project also includes an area for formal gathering & dinning, connected with an underground winnery and a billiard room.
The Corridor is conceptualized as a crack on a wall in a natural cave for Gold mining, where layers of skin will appear. Linear led lighting of the Wall will indicate the movement between each treatment room, each one offering a holistic rejuvenation, toward the Tea-room which is the end of the treatments and represents the final collection of Gold.
