The project, which is currently under constuction, is a three-storey apartment building at the Southern suburbs of Athens, of a total 348,35 sqm. The building is lifted on a Pilotis, with a 305 sqm basement. It includes 3 unique apartments, which will reach the High Energy Efficiency standards in Greece.

The design of the building doesn’t follow the usual apartment typology of the same floor plan. The main goal was to achieve a morphological cohesion with continuous white forms (wall-balcony) which envelope the apartments and unify the façades. At the same time, these white continuous external forms are deliberately interrupted with vertical cuts to let natural light flow through the building.

During the excavation of the plot, an ancient clay water- pipe of the Roman period (1st – 3rd c. B.C.) was unearthed at a depth of 1,65m below ground surface. The Water-pipes which are constructed of horseshoe-shaped clay tiles, contribute to an important find as the originality displayed in its construction demonstrates the significance of this water-supply work in antiquity. Due to its importance a part of the water-pipe will be exposed to the main entrance of the building, visible through a glass floor.

The correct orientation of the building and the correct placement of large openings for passive cooling and heating contributes to the maximum possible energy autonomy and energy saving.

The project has been the winner of the “BEST LUXURY APARTMENTS 2024″at the LUXURY LIFE STYLE AWARDS US.
