AZERBAIJAN POOL

MARDAKAN_BAKU_AZERBAIJAN 2016

The project, which is partially completed, has been a collaboration with the BAUMAN.INTERNATIONAL GMBH in GERMANY. It is located in Mardakan, a settlement on the eastern Absheron Peninsula of Baku – Azerbaijan, bounded by the Caspian Sea to the north, Shuvalan to the east, Qala to the south, and Shagan to the west.

It has been a challenging project of a Pool – Gym with a Winery , Billiard and Lounge area, connected with a luxurious Wellness-Spa for the former chairman of the International Bank of Azerbaijan.

Pool construction

The three of the Pools’ facades are entirely galzed for unlimited vies to the garden. The floors are lined in green orthogonal stone tiles both internaly, around the pool, and externaly fora uniform visual effect thet extends to the garden.

Internally the Gym is covered with a light-coloured timber flooring to achieve a warm and safe surface for exercise, including the tatami matt and boxing ring.

The Box that contains the shower and toilets is cladedd externaly with a ‘wavy’ mirror material, cut in nonuniform panels, like a precious gem. The intention here is to isolate the Box from the Poolhaus’ structure and make it appear as a freestandin form that has a blured existence and represents the water.
